20 LGBTQIA+ Home Brands To Support During Pride Month and Always

As May turned into June, Pride Month officially started. Pride Month, like other heritage- and community-centered months, is a time to celebrate and support the LGBTQIA+ community, including both those who are out and those who are not. While yes, you should celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community and celebrate your authentic self all year long, it's fun to have an entire month dedicated to the loving and inclusive community. And there's no better way to support it than to spend your money with LGBTQIA+-owned businesses. According to the National LGBT Chamber of Commerce, approximately 1.4 million LGBTQ+-owned businesses contribute over $1.7 million in economic impact. Home brands comprise a huge part of that number, and we're here to spotlight LGBTQIA+-led companies you can support as you level up your space.

A number of companies and corporations release and promote Pride Month collections as a show of support, but as the term greenwashing indicates for environmental awareness, rainbow washing is often performative. So rather than spend money and support big-box stores, why not shop directly from the LGBTQIA+ community and pick up a few more things to use to decorate your home? Ahead, we’re highlighting 20 of our favorite LGBTQIA-owned businesses, including Jeremiah Brent, BoySmells, and Coming Soon NY. Go on, check it all out, and make sure to keep them in mind every time you shop for your place.
